for everyone
Went to the Philippine Eagle sanctuary In Davao last Sunday. In the quietness of the early morning, with not much visitors there yet, several eagles were in huge enclosures. Eagles breeding in captivity, the most well-known being Pagasa. Truly fits the name because this eagle was the first to breed in captivity. A very regal bird, 2 meters wingspan and now doomed to live inside its enclosure to protect it from poachers who don't care if these eagles were endangered species. And Pagasa brought a new hope in being able to breed them in the safety of the sanctuary.

I heard about Pagasa when I was but a child, it's good to know the eagle who has brought hope for its kind is still alive....and still has that air of magnificence intact despite being held in captivity.

allen, this one is arni. pagasa is still alive but parang ang payat na nya. i think some of the eagles on display anak na ni pagasa.

tama ka lj. i think he was curious about the big lens and the clicking sound of the camera. Kaya di na sya nahiya and talagang humarap. I didn't know until that time that the eagle can see the front and the side. No wonder the expression "as sharp as an eagle's eyes."
