I love trees so much especially when they are beautifully grown or formed. I like this one. I also love the trees at UP Diliman. Nice shots! ;-)

hi alekz. Yes, i find trees fascinating especially when they're the only one, solitary and dramatic. Most of those shots were taken from a moving vehicle and the driver was going fast like mad...hehehe. i hope she wouldn't read this.

hi jc. I really don't know but the trees grows tall. I guess it's more decorative. I didn't bother to taste it. I thought at first it was like macopa or something. but I like the bunch of fruits(?). This was taken at the Pagodpod beach.

yeah. this is my favorite. sad that its life has come to an end.... but not quite because it's still standing there - proud and serene. It doesn't have to compete with the other trees because it can stand on its own and in fact relish being different. It has shed its bark that protects it from the elements making it more susceptible but it has developed sturdiness over the years and so is able to withstand even the worst condition. It has no more need for rain and can sustain itself. but it simply waits for the time for someone to chop it down or for nature to take its course and bring it to its rest. that was what i felt looking at this tree.

Isn't amazing how death of this tree still brings beauty? c'',) Anyway, i love this shot also.

i agree 6ladys. in fact some people gain more prominence in death than when they were living.

you see? even dried trees have their own shadows

that's true. just because it's dead doesn't mean that it doesn't have its own beauty. its bareness makes it beautiful. and yes, it has its own shadow. and this time, the harshness of the climate will no longer matter.
