omg!!! i miss badminton! great colors, great flying captures!
wow! sports photographer ka na rin sir jun... awesome... saan ito sir?
Hello po Sir Jun! Thank you for making my brother Martin look like a professional badminton player. Ang galing ng shots nyo po. The best talaga kayo. Dapat po may exhibit na kayo. Thank you po uli.
JC, this was taken at the badminton courts of King's Royale Hotel in San Fernando, Pampanga. I wanted to take some photos for my photography class. Assignment kasi namin was to freeze action. Medyo hirap ako sa lighting inside the court so the fastest shutter speed I could use with my 50mm was 250. Kaya some parts are still blurred. But I did enjoy taking the photos. Ang babait ng mga taga-Pampanga.
Hi Doc. I also have photos of you. Kaya lang medyo hirap ako mag-internet kasi on-off ang signal. Since yesterday, I've been trying to send you the full resolution pics of your brother kaya lang hirap mag-send. Ayaw lumusot. This evening I sent you the links to my Flickr site. Unfortunately, I found out the the pics were automatically reduced in size, meaning, if you have it printed using large print, pangit ang result. Anyway, I hope to finish postprocessing and give you a CD copy which I will leave with the badminton court staff next week if I don't get to see you.
Hi Sir Jun! Thank you po. Martin was thrilled reading your comments about him. Na encourage po sya tuloy to apply for varsity when he goes to college (3rd year high school palang po sya). Doc Eric sends his regards po and between you and me sir, matagal na niyang kina-career ang pagba-badminton...hehehe
hmmm... nice opportunity to shoot sir jun... daya naman. up to now, i still don't have sports folio. hahaha... c",) a little blur won't hurt to express the true motion even if it's frozen action sir. you did very well... just don't forget your eyeglasses always sir ok? hehehe... joking... c",)
Hi Doc, I'm glad that Martin was inspired to join the varsity. I really think he has the potential.
Hello Sir! It's very kind of you to think so. I just told Doc Eric and Weng (the "Lady") about your site and the photos. Thank you for immortalizing our "badminton moves" (kahit palpak po kami hehehe). I hope one day you could join us in the game Sir.
Hirap talaga ma-freeze ng husto mainly because of the low light. I shifted to using my 50mm lens, f1.4 and higher ISO. but I can't go higher with my shutter speed. I was using 250. and do a lot of pp just to lighten the images. but the motion blur I can't do anything about anymore.
really great sports pics! eventhough indoor lighting lang, nakuha mo i-convey yung frozen effect. the slight blur actually enhances the energy of the compositions! well done sir. now....if only i play badminton, hehehe.
the best shot... awesome photos you got here
thanks az. yes, that's martin borromeo. a promising varsity badminton player. and he plays the violin, too. whether it's a racket or the violin, he plays them well. i wish i had the chance to hear him play. if he plays the violin the way he handles his racket, then he must be a superb violinist, too.
